Shouldn't the above be an example of role conflict - Mary is facing difficulty in fulfilling her role as a mother, daughter in law, church member and full time worker.

The answer key said its A. Role strain. But I thought that role strain is when one has difficulty in fulfilling the expectations of a single role.

The situation does seem to describe role conflict rather than role strain, but role conflict isn't an option. Just focus on the options given; role strain is the best answer.
