How was the Roosevelt and Chicago State interviews? How are the areas? I am from the South and thinking about these two schools. Any feedback helps!

ALWAYS CHOOSE ANY SCHOOL OVER CHICAGO STATE COLLEGE OF PHARMACY.

IF YOU HAVE FAILED A CLASS IN A PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL BEFORE: At all cost stay away from CSU COP: They make a note of you and will plan to fail you in one of the DMTM classes in the third year. (Mind you, they need money. This is because they know if you go to the courts they look at academic history, so if they fail someone like that it just corroborates the past; sad, but some of these people are very evil people. The DMTM classes are essay questions and allow the professors to grade how they want).

AFRICANS (who speak like Africans) should steer clear of Chicago State University COP:

1. The people in administration do not like Africans and would not do anything to help if an African is being screwed up by a Professor (African in trouble? Snooze…. snore, waste their time and scam them in tuition).

2. Schedule an appointment to meet with one of the Deans or DMTM Professors and they will see another student who just walked in over you.

3. When one of the Dean’s of the COP sees a group of AFRICAN students and sees the need to tell them “We are happy to have you all here”; It is because he or she knows how badly they treat AFRICANS and hence sees the need to say that(damage control).

4. THE CHANCE OF YOU NOT GRADUATING, OVERPAYING AND BEING IN GREATER DEBT IS GREATER IF YOU ARE AFRICAN.

5. All the students who are usually failed in their DMTM classes are AFRICANS; and they are almost always failed at grades like a 69. Something. For a non-African to be failed they will have to have a really low D.

Eg: a) African girl who was being screwed up by DMTM I Professors (3times). They stuck it to her till it pierced her eyes and made her blind (4 +years flushed down the toilet, no degree, overpaid by over $30,000; yes, she was smarter than many of the students who were passed. Just unfortunately met some DMTM professors who screwed her up. Whether out of sheer jealousy or the hate entrenched in their hearts none can tell). Every student or former student knows someone who had a low or mid D and was non-African who was passed in DMTM; They pass students based on cronyism. If even this is what fate had for her, they could have made it a faster sad end by just letting her retake the exam the second time she took the class since it was a weird enough situation and end it at that. They kept her coming and coming so they could make money off her (Poor girl ignored the warning of loved ones not to return because she was in deep student loan debt). And yes, all three Deans knew about it!

When a student wonders why students supposed to be on rotations are not on rotations and those who are not qualified are on rotations, it just goes to prove the assertion that they pass based on favoritism. That is being “fair across the board” alright. Ahem!
b) African boy was told to retake 30 hours of undergraduate classes after being dismissed and reapply for readmission. Took 30 hours and was not readmitted when they almost always admit everyone in that situation back.

c)African girl who was deducted 10 points off her exam when she spoke up that a professor was always standing over hear head during exams (She was actually going to be deducted 20 points off but had a faculty member go and plead with the professor, so she was deducted 10 points off instead). Aint that something?

d) African boy and non-African friends send picture of past exams to someone. Only African boy dismissed.

SOME OF THE PROFESSORS MAY HAVE THEIR WIRES SCREWED IN THEIR HEADS AND FEIGNING NORMAL. Nothing can explain what some of them do. Yes, Africans, they will accept you to the school because the law prohibits discrimination and they need you to support their claim of diversity. This diversity is so overrated; it would make you an adversary!

Who should go to CSU COP?
Asians (Indians, Chinese, Vietnamese, Pilipino, etc..) although I personally don’t recommend to anyone.: You have professors in the academic standing committee, and coordinating DMTM and in administration who will vouch for you.
African AMERICANS (The Dean has your back): Will probably get them to throw out a question or two out for you if you have to be dismissed so you are not. Also, you have your PEOPLE coordinating or facilitating the DMTM classes; they could pass you even if your grade is so far from a pass. And yes, this really happens.

Arabs, Caribbean’s, Mexicans
Caucasians: In general, they just do not mess with them, because they know they will take them on.

GENERAL WARNING TO ALL AND SUNDRY
1. Chicago State is not CHEAP/affordable: You will end up overpaying; they may not deliver on their promise of in-state tuition. Remediation (about half the class or more will have to remediate at some point in time= $6,000 per summer school).

2.Too many grievances are filed in this school and result in nothing being done internally; professors on the committee side with their colleagues since they see it as their career. What are the sutdents paying for this crappy treatment and education?

2.Grieving about a class to the Chairman of the department is utter waste of your time. Go only to be told about the prerogatives of the professor to grade and asked if you were the only one who was treated like that.

3. Rudeness trickles down from COP administration to the professors.

4. Do your research before committing to this school; if anything, overlook this school when choosing schools on PHARMCAS (Save yourself the stress; pharmacy school is already stressful on its own. You don’t need all the other crap that comes with this school).

5. Word on the curb is that the professors may actually be able to manipulate things in the exam taking system.

6. Another conspiracy theory, is that the professors can actually see who wrote the evaluations about them in their electronic system (Write a bad evaluation and everything goes downhill for you from that point onward).Yikes!
7. The professors who fail students are maintained because they are their money-makers.
8. If they screw you up, no attorney may want to take your case because they do not want the reputation of being racist by taking on the only poor black college on the south side (Although this poor school does some really shady and evil things to people).

CSU COP is BAD BUSINESS!!! Your aim of a six-figure salary could turn into a six-figure debt with no degree. Might as well gamble your tuition in a casino (safer bet)!
