To all Ob Gyn practitioners out there, what ideas do you have to increase RVU production (other than extra days)?
I am currently employed on a fixed salary but having difficulty meeting the median RVU. My employers are getting on my back about RVUs. I am at about 70%. We don't do or read ultrasounds (long story but not allowed to) - so I think we are losing quite a lot of RVU there. Does anyone know what the average ultrasound RVU/month generated by an Ob doc is?
Also I do approximately 120 deliveries/year. Does anyone know what the average is?
We are gyn heavy practice and hence, our RVUs are lower as Ob generates more. I see approximately 20 patients a day working 4 days a week (including call).
Thanks in advance for any advice!
