I would personally do Calc 1 and 2 back to back since it'll be fresh on your mind, but that's assuming your major requires Calc 2. Most med schools are pretty open about their math requirements meaning you can use AP credits as well as college coursework to fulfill the requirements. Also, wouldn't AP Calc AB give you credit for Calc 1, or is it only elective credits at your college?

Stats will suffice except for the few schools that require two semesters of calculus.

I think stats is more useful. I was a neuro major and I definitely never needed anything beyond basic calculus, but understanding statistics was always important.
