Hi everyone. I got accepted last week into SDSU's MFT program but I only have 5 days to decide whether to accept or deny. Has anyone else heard from them? I find 5 days to make a life changing decision very short. In addition, I still have one interview that I have yet to attend that I am also very interested in. I'm not sure why they won't give us more time. I tried asking for a few more weeks but they said no.

Well, a couple things: Is SDSU's program higher on your list then the other program? In reading CA's licensing laws, it seems like the only difference is that an MFT's license is more restrictive. Considering CA's board is essentially replacing MFTs with LPCCs, why do you want to get an MFT?

What did you finally decide upon?

Thanks for your comments! I ended up turning it down. I applied for MFTs because I wanted to focus on children, adolescents, and families.
