Secondary Deadlines

Hi all,

Are posted deadlines usually at 11:59 PM on given dates?
i.e. If something is due on lets say October 31st, does that mean October 31st at 11:59 PM or October 29th at 12 AM (essentially the 31st)?

I would think the former would make more sense.
Asking for a friend that is trying to get his letters in ASAP.

My hunch is that you have a 24h window if it's due on the 31st, since the secondaries are online. The application page may be unavailable Nov 01 at 0001. Is your friend really thinking about waiting until the last minute to turn it in?

I laughed when I saw this...sounds like something a student would ask when he's trying to write a paper last minute...
My $0.02 is to submit at 11:55pm on Oct 31st and then enjoy the last few minutes of October.

Assume 11:59pm unless stated otherwise.

That said, if you're waiting until the deadline to submit something for med school applications, you're gonna have a bad time.
