Hi Everyone,

First post here in SDN...here goes!

I am planning on taking my MCAT September 4. I already submitted my AMCAS application and it is in the verification queue.

Two questions:

1) Is an early September MCAT too late?
2) Will schools initiate review of your application BEFORE they receive the MCAT score?

Thanks!
Dan

Many schools state they accept, at the latest, a September 15th MCAT. It seems like a huge disadvantage though.
Might be worth holding off this cycle, but that call is ultimately up to you.

Thanks! Any idea on my second question? Do they even look at it? Thanks, again!

No. Your application is not complete without an MCAT. Unless your application is absolutely stellar, it is probably a waste of money to take a September MCAT and apply.
