sexual harassment during rotations

Playa, welcome to the real world where people have $100 000 ++ in interest accruing debt hanging over their heads and their life's dream in the hands of some possibly inappropriate people.

While your sentiment is appropriate in the homes of your friends and family, in professional situations you always have to weigh your future versus your 'self-esteem.' Anyone who works for a living and has to support a family will also struggle with this, whatever their job might be. Or their gender.

It's foolish to want to stand up for your 'rights' when it can very, very easily get you booted out of a job or career. It's not worth it.

Just my 0.02 worth.

And what if one of your attendings decided to grab your balls in the locker room? Would you still have this attitude?
EDIT: ok what the hell is up with a bump of a 2year old thread?

So what do you do if a patient says something inappropriate sexually or racially or actually tries to touch you? Should you just leave right then and there and get the resident/staff?

If they say something inappropriate you tell them that is inappropriate or you let it pass. If they lay hands on you, you tell your team and/or get security depending on the nature of what it was. In my mind a pat on the ass gets a stern warning. Anything further gets higher ups involved. Laying hands on you is assault.
