My school has 2 separated Upper division classes, Cell biology and another class, Molecular Biology. Not a combined Molecular Cell Biology. Is it necessary to take Cell Biology for the MCATs? What are some reasons to take it if I should?

If it's an upper level class, then even though Cell Biology is covered in the MCAT's, material learned there that isn't covered in a lower level Cell Bio class likely won't show up. Of course, the upper level class will presuppose and therefore reinforce knowledge, which may be of use to you.

TLDR: Not necessary, but may be useful to you. Do what interests you the most.

Oh god please take cell bio before you take the MCAT. I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I hadn't taken it. It helps a lot. I was able to literally answer a whole passage in like under 3 minutes without reading the passage because I knew all of the info from my cell bio class.
