can someone please explain how these are related and how they are different when it comes to the spliceosome?

snRNP binds to the splice site. With other proteins (such as the snRNA), it forms the splicesome to do splicing.

ahhh that makes sense. I was under the assumption that the spliceosome was just a big snRNP
