I know this topic has been addressed a little already, but I thought I'd ask again, especially with neurosurg moving from sfmatch.
Anyone have recommendations on when to take step 2 CK - I did well on step 1 (240/99) - I also have research (not nsg specific) and decent grades if you guys think that affects my choices. I've had people tell me to do one of three things -
1. Take it late because your step 1 is ok, and it might be hard to go up too much from there.
2. Take it early and don't send your scores anywhere, that way you have it if you need it.
3. My med school yahoo's (administrators) are saying to take it early because many places won't rank you unless you've posted a step 2 score
