I meant to post this a while ago, but Oaktree products is having a Spring student special on otoscopes.

Heine mini3000 - $111
Heine mini3000 fiber optic - $170
Heine full size w/rechargeable handle - $275

I just ordered myself a mini fiber optic. I've used the mini's a fair amount and find them to be quite handy. I haven't "needed" my own otoscope to this point, but I feel it's something I would like to have so I went ahead and pulled the trigger.

Shipping was about $6 for me. No sales tax.

Good stuff, thanks for posting. Was there not a company who dished them out to 4th year students for free at one point? I reckon the ethics police squashed it?

Looks like it's www.audfound.org and sponsored through HalHen and Widex. The most recent info on their website is from 2010 and it was for 100 students.

You had to read some articles and take a quiz, so it seems somewhat "merit based" and I don't think it would necessarily be squashed ethically.

good find, thx for passing it on. i remember hearing something about audfound but can't remember what the deal with them was.
