So simple question. Will the demand for PT's be like it is now, in six years? Im in a six year program and one of the things I love about DPT is the demand allows one to move around/relocate where they want for the most part.

Members don't see this ad.
 
the only way to know for sure is to wait 6 years, but it seems like demand for PT is on the up and up.
 
The demand is going to be there for at least another solid 20 years. The Baby Boomer generation has started to die off and us generation Xers in the health care industry will have solid careers because of these Boomers....just like how the generation Yers and the generation after the Yers (I'm not sure what their generation name is called) will be solid with health careers as we start to die off, although the demand probably won't be as great for them since there are many more Baby Boomers (76 million estimated) compared to generation Xers (51 million estimated).

It's all a cycle. I think any health care career will bring job stability.
