stupid question re: prelim year

do all medicine programs offer a prelim year? if not, is there a list out there of all of the prelim medicine programs? thanks.

You can look on ERAS and see if they have a box to click for prelim. Almost all of them do as I recall. You can also go on Freida and it'll say whether they accept prelims or not.

Almost all of them do however some, like mine, hold those spots for in-house advanced programs only. We only have 4 prelim spots and they' all go to people who match in our Neuro program.

As mentioned, you can find this info in FREIDA as well as ERAS. When you go to apply for a particular program, it will have checkboxes for all the types of program they have (Prelim, Categorical, Primary Care, Research Track, etc). This is where the best info comes from. FREIDA is updated by the programs themselves and they tend not to always have up-to-date and correct information.
