Hi,

I am taking an EMT class at a community college starting on June 10th
and I am applying few days or few weeks after the class begins.
Do I need to add this college on my AMCAS?
If so, will I have to send my transcript after the completion of class? (class ends in early August)
Wouldn't that delay my application process?

Are you planning to use your certification or just "put it on the app?"

I would guess that you would sent them in as updated transcripts.

EMT certification is pointless unless you plan on working as an EMT.

Thank you!
I plan on working as an EMT as soon as I get EMT certified.

Ah sorry I misunderstood your question. I thought you were taking it just to boost your application, but you were asking about having to include it as an official college course.

I would agree with @gonnif and just not put it in there. Send the final transcript along with the one(s) from your other college(s) if you are accepted, as it is a college course. You can also use it (and EMT work) as conversation fodder during interviews.
