TBR says the correct answer is B. That makes sense but I'm a little confused on how you would know if it's a glutamic acid decarboxylase versus a GABA carboxylase. Is it because in this problem, the substrate is specifically glutamic acid with a one way arrow to GABA?

You are told that the reaction is Glu to GABA (the arrow).

The difference going from Glu to GABA is loss of a carboxyl group.

Therefore, you choose decarboxylase. You were not asked about the reverse reaction, if so, then GABA carboxylase would be correct.
