Students often ask us what sets Kaplan apart from other test prep providers. It's a great question, and one that should be carefully considered when it comes to PCAT prep. In terms of course content, how does the classroom course differ from Kaplan's Prep book? For instance, if I already have the index cards and books, would you say that what I'm studying is equivalent to what is taught in the classroom course?

Good question ionou! While there are a number of small differences between the full PCAT course and the self-study books and materials, it mainly boils down to one big point - the teacher. With a comprehensive course you get access to an expert who has been through the test experience already, and can offer tips on everything from what you should study tomorrow to what you should have for breakfast on test day. More importantly, with a teacher you're getting someone to help keep you accountable for your studies and keep you on track; we often see students coming to us who have tried to prepare on their own but, for one reason or another, were unable to stay focused and build a study plan that effectively got them ready for test day.
