Total AAMC FL Average: 30.8
AAMC 9-11 Average: 31.7
Expected Score: 21-39
Actual Score: 35 (PS: 11, VR: 10, BS: 14)
So happy! This was exactly the score I was aiming for, and the highest score I've ever gotten on any practice exam was a 33. After even knowing for sure I got 5 BS questions wrong (and I was almost 100% sure they weren't trial questions), I was expecting only a 10 at most in BS. I was praying that my PS and VR scores could elevate my final score up. Little did I know, my BS ended up being my best section (I've never scored above a 13)! I was praying that my average AAMC score wouldn't be my final score, and thank god it wasn't.
I also consistently hit 8s on my VR in AAMC 9-11, which was really disconcerting, as they were the last practice tests I took (Also hit 8s on AAMC 3, 4, and 7). However, even though I felt like I wasn't burned out, my scores showed that I was. Looking back, I was definitly burnt out. That "do nothing the day before your MCAT" worked wonders on me in curing the burn out.
Also, two nights before the MCAT, I purposely slept 4-5 hours. I woke up early and worked out, but not too intensely. After that, I went for a quick jog and then watched movies the rest of the day while fighting the urge to nap. This made my body super tired, allowing me to fall asleep earlier. This worked wonders when, on the night before the MCAT, I passed out at 9pm and woke up at 6am, giving me ample amount of sleep (9 hours) without any waking up in the middle.
