I think many of you will agree that today is a great day to officially prepare for the May 22nd MCAT!!!

I was against the April 2015 MCAT because a typical 3 month schedule doesn't seem to work for
students and/or working test takers. With a little over 4 months of preparation we can go in with confidence!
It's all new and really scary--so let's kick MCAT butt together!!

I was also wondering, wouldn't many professional MCAT test takers and tutors want to take the MCAT 2015 as soon
as possible (April MCAT) so they can better they're material or teaching? Wouldn't that just destroy the curve?

Good luck! That's kind of odd though, what's the point of the secondary then? Just to get your money/see if you're really interested? I guess I answered my own question haha.

Thanks! I got it today. But actually the dean doesn't believe in the system of charging for secondaries so it is free!

I like that IU does that. No essay, relatively inexpensive secondary fee. Now if they would only be more flexible with scheduling it would be perfect.

Does anyone know if adcoms review an application that has been marked complete even though there is still 1 letter that needs to be uploaded to AMCAS?

Hmm. Well hopefully my other 3 letters are pretty good. The amount of hoops I've had to jump through to get this letter uploaded is a tad ridiculous. But it's from the surgeon I work for, so it'll be really beneficial. I might email the schools that have marked me complete just to let them know.

I swear I am ruining my vacation by checking my email. Why hasn't IU sent me an interview date yet?
And more, why hasn't anyone else paid attention to me at all? Only one rejection and one II. I am trying not to add more schools.

Ugh. I got an email and the subject was "Medical School Admission" and I freaked out thinking it was an II...but it was just Vandy sending me an email telling me to apply. And for what, so they can take my money and then immediately rejected me? :uhno:

So what does it say about my MCAT score that I just got an email from Case telling me I have what it takes to be a Certified Anesthesiology Assistant? At least Vanderbilt spammed me about being a doctor. I guess I am glad I didn't bother with Case.

So @Lannister. I just got an email from Case. At first glance it looked like it said they thought I had what it takes to apply to their school, but then it was actually inviting me to apply to the Anesthesiology assistant program there. Haha whoops.

Hahah I got it too. I'm glad I heard about the email from SDN before actually getting it, otherwise I would've freaked out thinking it was an II.

Yea this conversation we had is being lived out right now. I have nothing to do. 3 of my friends are taking the MCAT right now, another is out of the country, and my girlfriend is in NYC. I need a new hobby other than checking SDN and app portals.

That's exactly what I did. The police woman totally f***** it up. She didn't seem to understand the extent of the issue, and she actually called them and talked to them and now they're mad that I didn't approach them directly and are coming to my suite tonight to talk to me and take me to their friend's suite to pick up my stuff. I'm scared, what if they murder me.

I know right...I kind of want to be a student interviewer when I'm in med school, and if I ever see their name on a list of people I'm supposed to interview, I'll tell the med school that they should under no conditions accept them.

Are you going through campus police or through local cops? Also, you need to make sure this is known to the dean of housing and the dean of students. Screw them, they need an IA.
This was theft of multiple items. Add up the amount of the DVDs alone and it is probably over petty theft. The fact that they also left the door open, trashed the room they could be considered ineligible for student housing.

Tell the officers that you fear for your safety and demand that charges are filed and that you need an escort.

guyzzz senior year is so chill. One of my friends works during most of his classes and he scheduled it that way lol. Also I dropped another class. :D life's good

Also, I unwatched all school specific threads on sdn and I feel so much less stressed out. Highly recommend

bc honestly they're pretty much useless unless you want information on good hotels/travel stuff

@Lannister keep us updated on your crazy roomates and how it turns out lol. I would press charges honestly and how were they stupid enough to not realize you would notice that these things were gone?!

So I got the stuff back. I don't think anything else is missing but we'll see. The reason I'm not going to press charges is because I think it was actually their friends that stole the stuff. Also I have to go all the way downtown to file charges, which is ridiculous, it'd take me like an hour to get there.

I'm living with friends so it's nice, but honestly I am excited to get a studio apartment or something for med school and live alone for once!

I'm debating whether I want to do that or not. While I think it would be good to be alone, it could also be really beneficial to live with other members of the class. Obviously we have a lot of time, but many factors should be considered.

I definitely want to live alone in medical school. I'm living with friends now and it's fine but after this year I just want to be able to walk around my apartment naked and pee with the door open.

meh I don't want to live with strangers even if they are members of class lol. What if they're super neurotic and burn your homework or something
jk haha but I'm looking forward to the freedom of setting 40 alarms, doing dishes when I want, among st many other stuff

also if you think about it when else in life are you going to get to live alone in peace?! Especially if you want a family or something one day. so yolo
