Do you have your pre-reqs done already? If so, you can take the DAT and get into a Special Master's Program. One year long, you take many or all classes that first year medical students take (excluding gross anatomy, I believe). They have a good percentage of kids with these SMPs getting into med/dental school, seemingly. All you need to get in is 1 year of biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, english, and maybe math. Your GPA is probably around their cut-off, but with a good story and a good DAT score, you could probably get into one. Obivously, it would have to wait a year, though. If I were you, I'd take undergrad courses this upcoming year and do a lot of volunteering, get great grades, take the DAT and apply in the spring (for matriculation in Fall 2009). If you don't get in, you can apply for an SMP program (also for matriculation in Fall 2009), and re-apply while doing the master's. It will show your dedication, and might help you get in.
