does anyone have any opinion/advice about these programs,trying to make a list for the upcoming year and havent been able to find too much besides a review or two. Thanks for whatever info.

can't help,

... but in terms of other SoCal programs, based on this most recent interview season I felt that UCLA-Harbor and UCLA-NPI were the strongest two. NPI usually fills with stellar applicants from top 20 med schools, and Harbor usually has UCSF and UCLA grads in 3 of their 7 spots based on previous years. Amazing training both places. just my 0.02 cents
 
any current residents at jefferson or past residents have any thoughts about the program? Please pm me or reply if you have any advice..thanks!

Kern Medical Emergency is a diamond in the rough. I recently graduated and stayed on as faculty (that says something right?) Feel free to PM me with any questions re the program.
For matching in residency, definitely do away/audition rotations where you want to end up and to see if the program is a "good fit". For Kern Medical Emergency you can visit for more info:
