I did the math to see how many students there are and how many pharmacy interns and in 4 years how many pharmacist will be looking for work. It might get hard to schedule to take the naplex with all these schools. The number is 4797. Close to 5000 produced per 4 year cycle. Might have to put cyanide in the water at a pharmacy conference to open up some jobs(JK).:eek::eek:

University of Southern California 4x190=360 students
Marshall B. Ketchum 4x52=208 students

California Northstate University 120x4= 480 students
Chapman University School of Pharmacy 75x3= 225 students
Western University 120x4=480 students
University of the Pacific 200x3=600 students
California Health Sciences University 84x4=336 students
University of California - San Francisco 122x4=488 students

I think the newer schools will definitely increase their class sizes.

Just curious, is AUHS and Ketchum opening for sure?

Dang, those numbers are making me scared haha

Aren't there 14,000-15,000 PharmD graduates each year? That means Cali has nearly 30% of them for a state that's 10% of the US population.

Not to mention number of out of state students who return. I think half of roseman (Nevada) is usually from California

You guys just don't want to give other people a chance to make a 6 figure income!

With these new openings I wouldn't be surprised if Roseman, Midwestern, and MCPHS in Worcester all see a decrease in applicants from California.

Actually, based on the 5,000 every 4 years, then the yearly number of graduates is only 1,250. That is only about 8 or 9%.
