TPN Question????

Need some input on the following questions please. Really don't know a good answer for this.

What do you want “Total Parenteral Nutrition” to be like for you in 5 years?

If money and time were not an issue, what are the changes or improvements that could be made to TPN?

You're going to have to be more specific than that. Parenteral nutrition is a huge field, I don't think there is any "one" direction it will go in.

However, things that come to mind immediately:

1) Better methods for accurately assessing caloric/nutrional needs.
2) Better data on the timing of initiation of TPN.
3) Better methods for minimizing the need for TPN.

That is really a vague question

Ensuring adequate supply of components in the marketplace, drug shortages can have an effect on TPN products.
