I did most of the TPR tests (1-5, cracking 1-3, review 1). And yeah the verbal is extremely hard especially if it's not your strong suit. My first TPR verbal score was 5 and only went up to 7 later. AAMC avg was around 9 +/- 1. Yet to see how've done on the actual thing.
Some advice: don't even score your exam or don't even look at the score. Simply see what you got wrong in all sections and what you guessed on and review relevant stuff. Don't give attention to score.
