tramadol schdule IV

Now that tramadol is schedule IV, for patients who with chronic stable pain on chronic tramadol, what do you think is a reasonable schedule to require a follow-up visit? I was thinking at least once every 6 months may be ok.

6 months is fine. Hell, for tramadol, once a year is fine by me.

well, i am stricter. i have a lot less concern, but since it is a controlled substance, like all controlled substances i prescribe, they come in every 3 months.
including zolpidem, tramadol, lyrica (tho i dont do UDS for Lyrica).
