There would be a few circumstances where a faculty member who is not your instructor could see your transcript or your grade in another class. The first instance would be if you gave permission to release your grades to that faculty member or if you provided the instructor with a copy of your transcript. The second would be if the instructor had an administrative role that provided access to transcripts. These administrative roles would include advisors and directors of undergraduate (or graduate) studies and associate deans who would have access to your records to check on your progress toward your degree, risk of academic probation, and so forth.
