Hi all,

I am applying to both medicine prelim year programs and transitional year programs. I have a Chair of Medicine LOR for the medicine prelim year applications...can I use the same letter for transitional year programs? Are Chair of Medicine LOR even required for a transitional year? I have checked out several programs' websites, and they don't seem to really specify...although it seems most want at least one LOR from a medicine sub-i or medicine clerkship.

Anyone have any advice about transitional year LORs?

You can pretty much use any letters for your TY application. Your chairman letter would be perfectly fine, as would any letters you are using for your advanced program applications. I would just pick the letters from the people that you think will have the best things to say about you.
