As an out-of-stater for both, which would you choose for your 4 years of life/education and why?

Also, I know that in CA you can establish in state residency after 1 yr. Can you do the same in MI?

Please share any comments, insights .. !

I know for sure... you cant get in-state residency in Michigan at all. My brother went there for medical school as an out-of-stater and he tried everything. You basically have to live in Michigan, be employed full-time AND not be a student in higher education.

As far as UCLA versus Michigan.... I havent solved that one for myself yet.

chef congrats on your acceptances

putting myself in your shoes, i'd just go to where i felt i would enjoy myself more; judging from rankings and what others say, both schools seem about equal

i guess the only caveat would be a financial one, as you said you can get residency in calif after only 1 year.

so you like michigan more or california?

ps -- go to michigan so i can get your spot @ ucla!!!!!! hehee
