Hi,

I fortunately got accepted at both UCSF and UCLA.

I am currently leaning towards UCSF because I think that the clinical exposure is better.

But UCLA has great weather - is around 15k less expensive, is a less expensive city in general and (I have heard) more students get into MSD programs.

Any thoughts on which one is better? The pass/fail program and honors is common in both - does it impact your chances for MSD or impact your job prospects compared to other schools?

Thanks in advance!

Congratulations!

Well, if you are thinking on pursuing a specialty, I will advise to go for UCLA. The pass/ no pass system makes it very hard to compete with other schools.
Consider $$$ too- check rent in San Francisco.

Both are great schools. Congrats and best of luck on your decision.
