According to this article dated 03/16/13, Hilo will probably not get the $38M required for the already-designed permanent facility for the CoP during this legislative session, and this puts the school's accreditation in jeopardy. The reasoning is that there are lots of repairs that need to be made to UH's existing buildings. There might be other ways to get funding, and the legislature may award UH some of the requested money. Anyone know more about this? Maybe someone could find a link to a free article.
