Hello everyone,
I'm a long-time reader and first-time poster on SDN. I am planning on applying to UNC's pharmacy school (entering fall 2016) and I just wanted to hear some thoughts on the new curriculum they are implementing this fall. It involves earlier immersion in patient care, and streamlined PY1 science review courses. Do you think this is a trend that will catch on with other pharmacy schools? Will this new curriculum differentiate UNC to employers from other pharmacy schools? Does this signify an evolving role of pharmacists that centers around patient care, rather than dispensing? I would appreciate any opinions and feedback.
