Thanks everyone for the input! Finally got my status in my portal changed and my interview is at 4:30-5 ._. Unfortunate for me because I'm one of those people who wants to get it done!
Totally with you on that. Sorry it ended up being so late . I like to get it done, otherwise I'm jittery all day! Thanks everyone for the input! Finally got my status in my portal changed and my interview is at 4:30-5 ._. Unfortunate for me because I'm one of those people who wants to get it done!
Breakfast foods will be provided.Does anyone know if there will be a lunch provided? The interview day schedule doesn't mention anything about that, which is a little weird because all the other schools I'm interviewing at have a catered lunch. If no one has interviews from 12-1, maybe that's when everyone takes a lunch break?
I might be missing it but I don't see that on the interview day page.I believe the interview day page said we have to register half an hour before your interview. Can someone with an actual computer confirm this?
I got an invite too!!
Question for you all,
I'm flying in to my home town in the 8th from another interview, but I don't get in until late that evening, so I;ll have to drive that night. Its not that big of a deal, except I'm worried that if flights are delayed/Cancelled due to weather, that I may not make it to Illinois.... if that happens does anyone know if they have any sort of "make up" day, or anything like that?
Thanks
That's what I was thinking of. I have work in the morning so I don't intend on getting to the school until noon.Couldn't find it on the "interview day" website but there's this on the interview invitation email they sent us:
Please register no less than thirty minutes prior to your interview at the main entrance of the Veterinary Medicine Basic Sciences Building (2001 South Lincoln Avenue). -this is all I found though.
The interview is going to make for a very interesting birthday! (24, wooo)
I plan on bringing a protein bar or something! My hotel has a hot breakfast, but I get HANGRY around 11AM hahaDoes anyone know if there will be a lunch provided? It's ok, they should be able to take care of you in the wildlife building haha
Mine's at 11-11:30, too. Group interview? lol jkI feel really lucky now to have gotten the 11:00 slot! Especially when I will have a 9 hour drive ahead of me!

But I do think we are both a wildlife emphasis?
Haha that would be something else, but yes I am definitely there for the wildlife emphasis! Bears are my passion
That would be awesome! Cheetahs are adorable, but sadly I haven't had the opportunity to work with them!I like cheetahs Among others. Hopefully we will be classmates then!

I worked with a baby cheetah once - absolutely precious!
There's a small dairy by my hour where the calves do that. It hurts. This all sounds adorable and super awesome! The cutest thing I've ever been a part of is treating young calves who love to suckle fingers!

Wildlife here too! And zoo. I got to help with quarantine exams on two female cheetahs!
Yeah, it definitely can hurt if you let them get too much of your fingers! There's a small dairy by my hour where the calves do that. It hurts.
Awwwwww! So cute! That really isn't much different for me, except I have white tailed deer trying to suckle my ears -_-
If there isn't a large cat club at Illinois already, there will be next fall!I feel like I have found my people!
Yes, I sent mine in mid-December and the portal reflected they were received within a week, then a few more days before they were evaluated. Yours should change soon too, though it might take a few days longer than it did in December because the office is probably busier now.Has anyone had their portal updated to show they had received your Fall transcripts? I sent mine on the 12th and still no update.

I ordered my transcripts to be sent on January 8th (the day I got my invite) and my university just told me today that they be sent today -.- Basically, Georgia is trying to **** me over, so hopefully I get into UGA as a sort of backup...
You can't actually do that because it's no longer considered official if you mail them to yourself. I did that so I could mail the form in with my transcripts and even though I didn't open the original envelope, VMCAS refused to count those transcripts as official and I had to send them another one.If push comes to shove, I would pick up the envelope from the desk and mail it myself. 8 days should be enough time from UGA to IL. Otherwise...might be time to call IL and explain the situation. >__<

I thought if you opened the envelope it would be considered unofficial transcripts but if they received the envelope intact then it is still official. I could be wrong.
I called them about my transcripts and they said that they have been received and reviewed and that my portal should be updated but it still isn't -.-
