The Center of Reconstructive Urology and Men’s Health in the Division of Urology at the University of Utah is proud to announce an opening for a Reconstructive Urology and Men’s Health Research Fellow for 2015. This is a one-year, funded clinical research program designed for medical students/trainees interested in pursuing a career in Urology and/or Urologic Research. The fellowship is under the direction of Dr. Jeremy B Myers, MD, Dr. William O Brant, MD, FACS, FECSM, and Dr. Jim M Hotaling, MD, MS. Clinical projects can be tailored to the fellow’s interests but primarily focus on reconstructive surgery, neurourology and voiding dysfunction, urotrauma, sexual dysfunction, urologic prosthetic surgery, male infertility, and andrology.

The fellow’s responsibilities include submission of IRB applications, monitoring of clinical studies in progress, manuscript preparation and submission, and presentation of the data at regional and national meetings. Fellows will attend the Western Section of the AUA (WSAUA) conference, as well as the national AUA yearly depending upon the status of their current research, and other meetings relevant to the fellow’s goals and research productivity. Fellows are also encouraged to participate in the Division of Urology’s weekly educational activities and conferences. There are many opportunities for the fellow to interact and get to know our division and receive thorough mentorship regarding pursuing a career in Urology and navigating the match.
