Update Letter of Recommendation

I wanted to get your opinion about sending a strong update LOR from a mentor I have been working with recently. I currently have 2 interviews, but do you think this will help my chances?

I am confused; isnt this writer someone who has already submitted a letter and you want to update it?

No, this writer is someone who I recently starting working with for an internship, so he has not written me a letter. Sorry for the miscommunication!
