hello
I'm IMG doctor from Iraq
I want to know if I clear AMC written , can I apply for job in Australia or not even in area of need (should I travel to Australia or apply online? ) apply directly to hospital or something else ?
I very confused about usmle or amc as I read so much both with positive & negative feedback
what is your advice

I believe you have to pass both the written and OSCEs now, which is done in Melbourne now. It used to be you could get a job after only passing the written portion, but I heard they recently changed this. But obviously check with the AMC to be sure. (I worked with the AMC in the past).

If you can get PR or permanent residency beforehand, that'd be best.

You don't need the USMLE. That's only for the U.S.

to pass amc part 1 ,do I need usmle books in addition to the amc books or amc mcq ( annotated + handbook ) are enough?
does amc holder recognized by countries other than Australia like Europe?
