Does anyone have experience using an outdated GRE prep book to study for the GRE? I bought 2 GRE prep books 1-2 years ago (2013 Kaplan and 2013 ETS) but didn't sign up to take the test until this year...I haven't really opened them so I'm hoping that I could save some money and just study off of the old ones. Do any of you know if this would be ok?

I think you should be fine, as far as I know the test hasn't changed in the past year.

I studied from those and took the test in August 2013. They haven't changed the test since they switched to the NEW GRE from the old GRE. You should be fine since the question format is the same.
