USMLE step 1 questions

I'm trying to assemble a very large database of board-style questions for a second year medicine course. The complexity of the questions should be appropriate for a second year student (i.e. not a resident or fellow) and they should be in the USMLE standard format (i.e. one best answer).

I have found several data bases that require subscriptions for access, and that might be ok. I was hoping that someone on this forum could direct me to some free sites that might get me started.

Check out the NBME (it might be USMLE Step 1 site, you can click through)site. They have 150 questions and they are supposed to be almost like the real thing.

Kaplan.com has a free download of 100 Q-bank questions with answers for palm pilots. With slight modifications you could vary the question to avoid copyright infringment.
