Hi! I have got a USMLE score of 250. Also, I have research experience and some publications.
Do you think is it a good start point to apply for a good Internal Medicine Program?

That's a book that might help you... In case that the picture upload didn't work: it's a red book, you can find it on amazon.

Go the Internal Medicine forums. Loads of people there who'd love to answer your question.

But I'll cut to the chase for you. Here's what you 'need' to get a top IM residency:
1. Ballin Step 1 score (check)
2. Honors in your IM rotation, and preferably lots of other honors like in surgery
3. AOA would be nice
4. Not be an IMG. Sorry but they'll filter you out.
5. Research of any type, publications are a plus (check)

There ya go.
