USMLE STEP2CK - Deadline

Dear Fellow SDN members,

I have a question and would be very thankful if anyone could help me with it.

I am planning to apply for the 2015-2016 Match, I am done with Step 1 and Step2 CS. My question is : What is the latest date (Deadline), in which i have to sit for the Step2CK if i want my CK scores to be available to programs ?

It depends on what your goal is by having programs see your CK score. If you want them to see your CK score before extending interviews (for example, you want to make up for a weak Step 1 score), then you need to take CK by July 2015.

If your goal is for your score to be in in time for programs to rank you, then you need to take CK by the first of January 2016. (This is becoming quite common that some programs will not rank an applicant without a CK score).

If your school has a requirement that you must take CK before graduation, then do that. (But you sound like an IMG?)
