PhD/PsyD VA question

Hey guys,
I know there are quite a few people on here coming from VA's. I'm on internship (AMC) now, but am still considering going on to train in a VA. I haven't had any experience on practicum but am interested based on my dissertation research with vets. Is it possible to still do a post-doc or get hired without previous experience within the system?

congrats that's awesome! yeah, I started getting really into during the research and now regret not having any practicum experience in it. i know a lot of people who matched for internship without va experience but not sure how that will look for post doc...
