vacant GI fellowship spots?

How to look for vacant GI fellowship spots. I am sure at least a few fellows may leave their spots secondary to getting fired or disliking the specialty. Is there a way to find these empty spots other than emailing the programs. Is there a website were such vacancies are listed?

It is very unusual for someone to work there way into a GI fellowship spot and then just quit because they don't like it, and it is also pretty hard to get fired.

If a spot were to open up, it would be filled quietly from internal applicants/local connections. If you applied for GI fellowship, I think there were 2 or 3 spots in the country that did not fill that you could have tried to scramble into.
