I've noticed upon reviewing that some bacterial vaccines can either be aquired thru both active immunity or passive immunity, namely the tetanus and diptheria vaccine. I remember doing a practice exam and the answer for a tetanus vaccine is aquired thru passive immunity thru antitoxins. I know that DPT vacinations are mandatory nowadays for new borns, but when doing booster shots would it still be an antitoxin vaccine adminstered or would it be the toxoid vaccine, or would it make a differnce at all?
