Hi,

I'm interested in veterinary ophthalmology. What is the most common procedure you perform?

Also, do you have to take a lot of X-rays?

Thx,

The ACVO website might be helpful in terms of general information. As far as I know we don't have any optho specialists here. Asking the one you shadowed is probably your best bet.

No, you don't have to take a lot of radiographs if all you do is eyes.

The imaging modalities you use much more commonly than radiographs are ultrasound and computed tomography.

As for the most common procedure - that varies widely by geographic area, species diversity you're working with, and your specific interests.

The ACVO website is an excellent place to start.
