Is 30-minute or one-hour fixation enough to inactivate HIV/HCV in a 3-mm biopsy? If the neutral buffered formalin splashes, would it take some of the body fluid content such as blood ( mixed in formalin)? Is there infection risk if the fluid contacts our eyes?

You just joined this forum today and your first ever post is to ask a question which if someone else takes the time to answer you'll more than likely disappear. We've seen this before. Go read a book...
 
This does not sound like a hypothetical question. Are we really the best people to be answering it for you? If such a thing happens in residency, your occupational health team should be the ones to help you.
