We can't tell you who we are. Or where we live. It's too risky, and we've got to be careful. Really careful. So we don't trust anyone. Because if they find us... well, we just won't let them find us..

The thing you should know is that everyone is in really big trouble. Yeah. Even you.​

My name is Jake. Just Jake. I can't tell you my last name, because you could be one of them. And even if you aren't, I don't trust that you'll stay quiet. And anybody could be one of them. Your friend. Your mother. You child.

What am I talking about? Well... what if I told you that the Earth was under attack from aliens? Don't laugh at me. It's not an obvious attack, like some crazy Independence Day ****. Our world is under attack from a space-faring race of parasitic creatures called Yeerks, and has been for years, and nobody has noticed. That's what is so terrifying.

But you know, on their own, Yeerks aren't scary. They look like big, slimy worms. It's when someone - your loved one - is held down kicking and screaming so that the yeerk can slide into their ear, into their brain, and take over their every action, read all of of their thoughts, access all of their memories... that's scary. To be trapped inside your own brain, unable to choose your own actions, unable to speak your own thoughts, and to not be able to warn the world of what is coming....

Those people are called Controllers, and they look just like everyone else. And who do you have to protect you from this menace? Five kids, and an alien horse who loves cinnamon buns. I mean, thanks to a detour through an abandoned construction site and an Andalite breaking one of their most sacred laws, we can turn into animals. That's helpful - it lets us have a chance to infiltrate, to watch, and when needed - to fight.

And truth to be told, we're not alone in the battle. The Andalites are coming to help... someday. There are other races that the Yeerks have invaded and controlled, and when they are freed, they can be allies. But right now, the odds really don't look great. Hence the secrecy. Because if the Yeerks get even one of us, we're all dead, and Earth doesn't have a chance.

We'll be able to start as soon as we have the players, or Monday evening at the latest. I know many people are in the middle of the start of vet school, so can adjust the game slightly down in numbers if I need to... just would really like 24 if we can! 28 is actually what it's designed for, so that'd be even better, but I'm skeptical. Will start on a day cycle.

Rules will again require at least two posts per day/night cycle.
Generally will be deadlines of 5AM/9PM EST, no plurality. Can adjust night deadline a little bit if people wish.
You'll be able to PM in your groups during the night, so sign up with whomever you want to chat with.
