Hello all, I am in the current process of building a strong application for medical school. I am 24 caucasian female with a 3.85 cGPA and 33 MCAT.
My EC's are:
+EPPA scribe program over 1.5 years working in an ER with a physician
+Shadowing internal Medicine, emergency medicine, and many surgeons in OR.
+Medical service to Nicaragua for 10 days to give medical Care to poverty stricken areas.
+Surgical trip to Guatemala providing pro bono surgeries to the people of Guatemala
+Volunteer trip to Tanzania to build and organize schools for young girls who do not have the opportunity to learn.
+Volunteering at an Aquarium where I am from
+Volunteering at the hospital in the cardiac wing where I'm from
+Co-president of the pre-medicine club at my school
+organization of a bone marrow drive at my school
I'm doing this on my phone, that's why so messy! I hope I got it all!

I am a Minnesota resident and no I do not speak Spanish fluently.

Stanford
Thomas Jefferson U
U of Arizona
U of CA- David
U of CA- Irvine
UCLA

I know this is an extremely long list and needs to be cut more than in half but this is what I narrowed down from the 168. Any additions of subtractions from the list would be extremely helpful. Also any other recommendations to improve my application would be appreciated!

I also forgot to mention that by the time residency comes I want to either do my residency at Mayo, Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins or Mass Gen. I know those are extremely amazing hospitals but I want to be at a LARGE hospital with a great rep. Any suggestions as to what schools place their majority of people at these hospitals, or any other large hospitals that are great that I'm missing is also helpful. THANK YOU

Ad Creighton. Remove most state schools where you are OOS.

Remove any public school other than MN ones since I'm a resident?

For applying out of state is it best to apply to private schools only and forget about state schools that barely let out of state people in?

There are a couple state schools that are worth applying to. I found the msar and LizzyM spreadsheet helpful.
