What days of the week are interviews? Are there any the week before Xmas?

Just trying to organize scheduling. Are they usually on weekends, weekdays or both? And are there any the week leading up to Xmas; if there are, would you still be fine if you skipped that week?

West coast report:
- interviews are mostly on weekdays because faculty/staff don't want to work weekends
- this is a weird holiday year with Christmas & New Years falling on weekends
- I wouldn't be surprised if there are no interviews the week before nor after Christmas
- regardless I wouldn't worry about "losing" interviews for a holiday week
- every program is different
- when you get offered an interview, you usually get offered a number of days to choose from
- InterviewBroker is terrific

Also, before you schedule travel, figure out how to be at the social event. Responsible programs will commit to weekly day/time/location for the social event long before you get invited. Go & close the deal.

Seems to vary program to program. Almost all that I've seen are on weekdays, not weekends.

Some programs are offering interviews on 12/28 (n=2).

I also got a couple offers with dates in the week before Christmas as well as 2 that offered dates the week after. It really varies program to program. These were programs mostly in the NE and MW.
