What is your take on Direct Access Physical Therapy?

Do you think that patients who are diagnosed with an musculoskeletal injury, should be allowed to see a physical therapist directly rather than going to a physician and getting a referral?

Good: I think this would benefit patients more because it would save them time and money.

Bad: What if they were in pain and asked for some medication? PT's are not licensed to prescribe medication.


What is your opinion on direct access physical therapy?
