AMG, gonna graduate in Mid-May.
Residency starts in mid-June (prelim surgery)
Dilemma: I want to take this test early and get it out of the way. However, I am not sure if 1 month of studying is enough......i need to move to another state to do my residency. And I am assuming prelim-surgery is gonna be super busy and no time to study, so postponing doesn't do any good either.
On top of that, there will be no Step 3 in Oct, and if you take it in Nov, your score gets delayed till April of next year. If I fail, no time to retake before my PGY2 year....

So should I take it early and take the risk of under-prepare for this exam
or take it late, wait anxiously for 5 months, and hope for a pass or lose PGY2 spot if I fail....

My step 1 and 2 are in the 240+, passed CS on 2nd attempt thou

1 month is enough time to do well

especially if you did well on step1/2

there are only 1300 UW, if you do 40 a day you will do 1200 in 1 month, and that's barely any
