How do you get scholarships from med schools (non- need based ones)? Do you get them when your acceptance arrives? Or when you matriculate?
Are they offered by schools or do you need to apply for out of school ones? (if so, then which)
Do only people on the upper stairs (from LizzyM's staircase analogy get scholarships, or is there another way they decide who gets them?
All of the adcoms on SDN say that 4.0/36+ are prevalent, so do they hog all the scholarships or can someone with average matriculating stats get them?
